WellBee
How It Works
State the problem. See the pathway. Take action.
WellBee doesn't ask you to fill out a form or dig through a portal. You describe what's happening, in your own words, and WellBee does the digging.
A Day in the Life
It's 7:40pm. A refill notice buzzes — the price jumped from $40 to $380 this plan year.
- 1She opens WellBeeand types it exactly like she'd tell a friend: "My medication is suddenly $380. What are my options?"
- 2In secondsWellBee checks what's covered, whether a generic exists, and whether an assistance program applies to this exact plan and drug.
- 3WellBee shows herthe generic is clinically equivalent and covered at $12 — explained in one line, with a note that a pharmacist will review it, which is normal and already queued.
- 4She taps "Request the switch."No calls. No hold music.
- 5Twenty minutes later:"Approved — ready for pickup tomorrow, $12."
The whole thing takes four minutes and ends before she goes to bed — not a three-day phone-tag saga starting tomorrow morning.
What Happens Behind the Scenes
When you ask WellBee about a cost, it checks, in order:
- Your actual insurance benefit — because this correctly reflects your deductible progress, and is usually the right answer once you've met it.
- Cash and discount pricing — as a fallback, and sometimes the cheaper option, clearly labeled as not counting toward your deductible.
- Generic swaps and assistance programs — if both of the above still leave you above what you can afford.
You always see the ranked options with the reasoning shown — never just a single unexplained number.
